It’s the 4th of July, 1976. I’m 8 years old and I’m on the side of our house at 2 Anthony Avenue, Manchester Massachusetts with my older brother Jack who is 2 years older than me so 10 years old at the time. Actually his birthday isn’t until the 1st week in September so he’s 9 and fastly approaching 10. It’s 1976, the big bicentennial year of the United States and our town, Manchester, has planned for, erected and will be lighting ablaze an 80 ft tall bonfire stacked…
